The Offline continues his journeying sound exploration, channelling surf, psych and hip-hop into a library blend on his second LP. Hamburg-based multi-instrumentalist and producer The Offline continues with the advancement of his hip-hop-leaning, library-tinged cinematic world-building, announcing his second full-length album, ‘La grande evasion’. Releasing on Friday 28th November via DeepMatter Records, the album was originally envisioned as a 70s sci-fi concept album about a spaceship venturing into deep space, however it evolved into something more intimate yet equally expansive. While the interstellar themes remain in spirit, the music instead traces a different kind of voyage; one grounded in memory, photography, place, and inner travel.
